Madonna di Campiglio

Snow almost guaranteed on the tops of the Grostè at 2,000 metres of altitude. By 2005 Madonna di Campiglio had become an organised and crowded tourist destination, especially over New Year. You can ski quietly until 26 December, then the slopes fill up with skiers, snowboarders, etc. An ice rink and a cinema in the very characterful village, full of shops!!
