The story

A walk of about 4 km along a stretch of the ancient Via Valeriana, which runs from Iseo to Pisogne. We walked the section from Sulzano to Sale Marasino. The route, which in places becomes a path with climbs and descents, winds along the mountainside, through olive groves, houses with stone walls, woods and a beautiful panorama, with a view over Lake Iseo below. The way is signposted with tourist signs and a yellow-and-brown V painted on posts and low walls. For the return we came down to the main road and followed the lakeside path back to the car.
