The story

places that could be enchanting but that aren't valued, or at least not in the right way. Worth seeing: Ostuni with its white streets that, to the visitor's eyes, all look exactly alike; Alberobello, even if it must once have been quite another thing...; Matera with its sassi that are becoming a bit too "sassi", and the centre of Lecce, which strikes you pleasantly and unexpectedly, with its churches (some of them incredibly open to visitors...) and its very well-kept streets. Don't miss tasting the typical taralli, a whole different story from the motorway-service ones...
