The Castle of Bornato.
The Castle of Bornato is in the heart of Franciacorta and consists of a stronghold built to control the road that connected Brescia to Bergamo. On the clearest days, from the walls you can see a beautiful landscape that stretches as far as the Apennines...Brescia we definitely saw...the Apennines, honestly, I wouldn't be able to recognize! The guided tour inside Villa Orlando, which was created from the castle, lasts about an hour, and at the end they even offer a tasting of the wine produced right in Bornato...well, I'm a teetotaler and didn't join this toast with the other visitors, but everyone sang its praises, don't worry, it really is just a taste: you don't risk having your license revoked...The "ghost cave" is also nice, used to watch over the walls and from where, in case of invasion, people once escaped through a secret passage.
Luckily it's closed now, also because they didn't even put in a candle!!! and with the guide's flashlight you can't get very far! Despite the sun, it was incredibly cold, but overall it was a nice visit! Passed!
