The story

A trip to Bomarzo near Viterbo turned out to be the discovery of a place unknown to me before. An enchanting little village perched on the Cimini mountains, overlooking the Tiber Valley. A medieval stronghold with the beautiful Palazzo Orsini and its splendid fortified walls make the atmosphere truly evocative. Not to be missed either is the visit to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, where the remains of St Anselm, Bishop and Patron of the town, are preserved.
