from Aosta take the direction of Cogne; if possible avoid the motorway, it is disproportionately expensive; once in Cogne turn right for Valnontey. Having left the car, the signs will certainly let you take the path that runs alongside the stream. For a short walk you can follow the marked route; for longer mountain routes a map is better. Even the short walk offers some lovely spots; a tip: observe in silence.....
