San Giovanni at the agriturismo

Taking advantage of the heat of these days we thought of going to Cassano Murge, a hilly spot a few steps from Bari (about 30 km). In the surrounding countryside there are countless agriturismi frequented by those who don't want to miss the chance to enjoy clean air and eat well. This time it was the turn of the Agriturismo Amicizia in the Fasano area. Immersed in the greenery of a vast countryside dotted with large areas of oaks, pines and organic crops stands the Azienda Agrituristica Amicizia, an old masseria of the Bari Murgia 3 km from the famous Mercadante forest.

Besides the opportunity for long horse rides in the woods and riding courses, at the Azienda Agrituristica Amicizia you can taste specialities of typical peasant cuisine, such as homemade pasta, mushrooms, roast meat from its own rearing, since it produces and sells typical local products made on the farm, exclusively from organic cultivation.

At the Azienda Agrituristica Amicizia they in fact grow olives, vegetables, fruit trees and almonds, and raise cattle, pigs, horses and poultry. From the ACQUAVIVA DELLE FONTI exit of the A14, reach CASSANO DELLE MURGE, turn left for MATERA. After 3 km, there is a sign and a left turn for the Azienda. From the BARI SUD exit of the A14, take the S.S. 271 for MATERA and follow the signs for the Azienda
