DURATION

2 days WHEN from 9 June 2007 to 10 June 2007 GETTING THERE VETOR hydrofoil from FORMIA €40 return, crossing time 70 minutes ITINERARY Swimming around the island!!!!! ACCOMMODATION Lovely little apartment with sea view (THROUGH A PUBLIC TERRACE) booked through MARE LUNA GETTING AROUND You get around easily on foot on land and by swimming along the coast. There are also tiny minibuses that slip through the alleys and take you with your luggage to the apartment. Watch out for one-way streets! Almost all the island's roads are one-way! EATING Breakfast at Afrodite in the square with the church. Pizza at L'Altra Pizza Via XX settembre near Piazza Castello. They deliver to the boat too! 0771854015 Restaurant l'ARAGOSTA at the new port, book and bring a fleece because there's quite a wind and the wine flows freely.

Big shop at the CONAD in piazza Castello and, not to be forgotten for breakfast, the bakery pastry shop, also right by the square! HIGHLIGHTS Going around the island by swimtrekking! The island is perfect for this sport: we circumnavigated it in two three-hour stages!

SHOPPING

Internet Point in a big, nice, pleasant bar MARNET Via Muraglione 44 Various little shops around the usual Piazza Castello, right in the square there's also a very well-stocked bookshop with "aquatic literature" and beautiful photo books on Ventotene, above and below the sea.
