The story

It's very beautiful and very interesting; the route runs along the hill that overlooks Varallo Sesia, a proliferation of votive chapels, like being in an amusement park of times gone by. In any case the statues placed within the various Gospel scenes are very striking, and it's worth going through them all with great care. Carol passed through these places during his papacy......
