The story

Two days in Rome, flight paid 50 euro return, leaving Saturday morning at 7 and back Monday morning at 6.30, two full days. The only negative thing… our accommodation, a b&b in the Esquilino area, booked near the station to be convenient for the Ciampino shuttle that leaves from Termini station… two very full, tiring days with exhausting walks, all spiced up by unusual heat for the season… two beautiful days, two days of sunshine and history, culture and monuments… we saw practically everything, including the walk along the Gianicolo, Trastevere and then the historic centre, of course the Colosseum, the Forum, Piazza di Spagna, Navona, the Trevi Fountain, etc… etc… In Rome, in the three times I've been there, I have NEVER managed to eat at least DECENTLY… I ate far, far better in PARIS!!!!!!! A jarring note among the beauties of the city… too many tourists…
