Sirolo * Numana * Portonovo
Sirolo, a splendid quiet little village of about 3,000 inhabitants, sunny and protected by the Conero, offers excellent tourist initiatives.
From the terrace of the little square you can appreciate the strong character of a landscape made of stone and sudden openings, balanced by the gentle seascapes of the southern coast, visible as far as Porto Recanati.
A Blue Flag for ten years, it boasts its famous Due Sorelle.
Wild beaches, caves, white rocks covered in pine groves that overlook transparent and deep waters, make Sirolo the ideal destination for anyone in search of still unspoiled nature.
Numana
In recent years, from a humble fishing village it has transformed into a very modern tourist town, while maintaining a good balance with its historic center.
The tourist little harbor is today equipped for anchoring and storing numerous pleasure boats.
Testimonies of Picene civilization are preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Ancona and in the Antiquarium of Numana, currently only partly open. The symbolic icons of the city are the Tower, an arch whose origins are still unknown, and the Costarella, a popular and characteristic alley that in summer turns into a natural stage for painting exhibitions.
Also noteworthy is the Romanesque wooden Crucifix preserved in the sanctuary of the same name.
Located within the Conero Park, Numana is divided into an Upper part, on the hillside, and a Lower part, along the harbor and the beach. The coastline has earned the coveted Blue Flag recognition for the cleanliness and livability of its beaches.
It has a twofold conformation: north of the little harbor it presents a cliff coastline, with beaches hidden among inlets; to the south, as far as Marcelli, a wide beach of fine gravel, more easily accessible.
From the gardens you can enjoy a remarkable view over the entire coastline, as well as from the terrace of the tower.
Possible tourist boat trips with boats suited to hold up to 150 people.. at the cost of €12 - Tour along the coast to the rock of the 2 Sorelle...
Too bad today we don't have time!
We hope to be able to come back!!
It will surely be a beautiful experience and then...
a sea this transparent is hard to see.. in the Marche region...
it's true that conveniences help a lot but I prefer more not having a sunbed and deck chair but having a CLEAN sea, limpid and blue...
like a true Blue Flag..
