The story

Polignano a Mare is a scenic town, built on the rock, sheer above the crystal-clear sea, and it enjoys that fame typical of southern towns, all based on colours: the white of the cliffs, the yellow of the sun and the blue of sky and sea. Its historic centre is also characteristic, now enriched by an incredible series of little shops selling everything and more, and by gelaterias and restaurants, some outdoors too. To reach the town from Bari you just take the SS 16 and you get there very easily, though it isn't quite as easy to find parking given the incredible influx of visitors, especially during the short long weekends or in summer. The artisan gelato, expertly made, is a treat (but you have to queue a bit, so arm yourself with patience and physical stamina). Highly recommended is IL MAGO DEL GELATO, while for those who love fish and a breathtaking view there's DA TUCCINO.

They're guaranteed because tried “personally in person”!!!
