The story
A week of relaxation in my parents' little village… for the Feast of Santa Domenica in Caraffa di Catanzaro, just 20 km from the splendid Caminia… which every year gives us fantastic summers, crystal-clear waters… few people… and above all freedom in everything… no sunbeds, no deckchairs… no beach club, only 2 restaurants at the two ends of Caminia and a few bars.
Caraffa, on the other hand, is a little village with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants… on 6 July they celebrate Santa Domenica, a long procession through the village, music and local dancing…
Sunday 9 July, ready to set off… to watch the final in Milan… Alitalia cancels the flight… so we leave the next morning…
and we celebrate in the village…
the next trip follows… over a night…
