An Autumn Sunday in Paestum

I know November isn't ideal for outings, but my friend had insisted so much that in the end I went along with her. The day is nippy, with clouds on the horizon that promised nothing good. We arrived in Paestum after a calm motorway journey in the morning, a quick breakfast at the service station and a visit to this fantastic place. The temples are majestic, especially that of Poseidon, one of the few to be practically intact. But the biting cold got the better of us, and so after a fleeting packed lunch we headed back, alas!!!!
