Near Florence, leaving the motorway at the Firenze Sud exit, after a few kilometres you come to the little village of Antella. The village grew up entirely around its Romanesque parish church of 1100. A parish church built in front of the older Romanesque church from two or three centuries earlier (whose remains can be seen behind the high altar). The village is small: the church, the square, the “giro del baccalà” (a walking route along the river to and from the square), the Casa del Popolo with its pizzeria, the MCL and the priest. The hills are beautiful in every season and rise to Fontesanta and Poggio Firenze at an altitude of about 700 metres. Last Christmas we also had the pleasure of a lovely snowfall!! Happy New Year to everyone.
