Autumn in Chianti and Valdarno

Out of the city. We stayed in a fairy-tale hotel: the Hotel Casagrande in Figline. In the manor house and farm of the Serristori family a pleasant hotel has been created, with its Italian garden, leaning against the city walls in an oasis of peace and quiet. The rooms are tastefully furnished and I won't even begin to tell you about the excellent food we were offered. From here we ventured into the nearby Chianti and also visited Arezzo. But the beauty of this land lies in the colours autumn shows us. For a longer trip I recommend this destination because from there Florence and Siena are a stone's throw away and the small town offers a lot to the visitor.
