The story

We take the chance to pop over to Ferrara to visit the Corot exhibition. We immediately notice its human dimension, with bikes speeding along, stopping, or pausing in the saddle for a chat. The city is worth visiting and savouring its colours (and its black and white), its lights. A stop at a good restaurant in the centre to try the thrill of salama da sugo with mashed potatoes and a good glass of wine. In the centre only the murmur of voices and the swish of tyres on the stones. No car horns but a concert of cheerful bells. A civilised city, Ferrara!
