we set off for a tour of Umbria without a fixed destination, wandering far and wide across the region. We booked an agriturismo near Spello, “Agriturismo le due torri”, because it was the most convenient as a base. The choice turned out to be spot on, because it's an old Umbrian structure in the plain, restored leaving as intact as possible what it had been for years. Not many rooms, but the few are excellent and well kept. The restaurant isn't bad either, you eat well, and many of the things they offer come from their own farm. Personally, in Umbria I'd only ever had the chance to visit for work, but after so long much has changed and there were many things I hadn't seen. Like all our regions, it deserves an in-depth visit, because we're part of a nation with a few little problems, yes, but of a beauty that has nothing to envy in the other, more highly rated countries.
Hi everyone and good travels to those setting off
