a real quick getaway from the heat, at least for a day away from the Po Valley. That gentleman at Portobello years ago was right when he said that to get rid of the heat and the fog in the Po Valley you'd have to lower the Turchino and put big fans to move the air. Since that can't be done, we settle for escaping now and then to recharge. Lovely spot San Terenzo, a shame that the town council has closed one of perhaps the most beautiful places there, the blue bay. With the season starting, a place like that needs making safe (landslides) and opening as soon as possible. Even the road leading to Lerici is closed by a landslide, but that's been the case since last November or maybe earlier; is it possible nobody thinks about it? Unfortunately we're already back to the heat, and thank goodness for the air conditioning. Bye, and happy travels to whoever is setting off
