The story

And we're at five, with the new trip to Sicily, this time to Favignana, where we had been only briefly some time ago. Ryanair flight from Bergamo to Trapani, bus to the port, hydrofoil and here we are on the island. We booked a studio flat to be free of timetables, two minutes from the centre, online with "casa vacanze favignana", a spot-on choice. A studio flat kept very well, practically new; Mr Pietro, our contact, always available and kind. We rented a scooter so we could get all around the island even though it's small. The sea has colours you rarely see, like Cala Rossa, Cala Azzurra, perhaps the best known. The town is clustered around the square, with restaurants and bars. Ideal temperature, always breezy even when hot, the water a bit chilly at first then you no longer notice. The only drawback: jellyfish galore, I got stung three times, a bit of a tiresome experience.

The wonderful Sicilian people who make you feel at home, always special. OK, until the next trip and SAFE TRAVELS to whoever is setting off.
