forgive my Italian, the foul language and maybe even the story (it was written by a guy trying to tell his adventure in Europe, between successes and failures; anyway the reader will find it amusing and, even if no one says it, common to everyone)
The umpteenth adventure of the legendary duo "Rocco and Piersilvio" (Emanuele and Gabriele), finally in written form. After the great results in Cuba, the strange pair set off from 5/04/2008 to 14/04/2008 for the route home-Munich-Prague-home, 1860 km in a Fiesta. The hotels for the stops were booked on Thursday 3 April and the route map was made with Google Maps and a map of Europe on the evening of Friday 4 April (setting off with no satnav and other electronic crap).
A week earlier we had decided on Prague as the destination; the perfect route was supposed to be home-Munich-Prague-Budapest-home, then changed because of our finances and the weather in those places (snow was forecast). Munich was supposed to be a stopover of calm and tranquillity for a weekend before heading to Prague, the dream place for everyone who has seen "Rocco sfonda Praga", never was a mistake so great. Our thinking was: let's do three days in Munich, what can there possibly be in a German city of workers, a big factory; the Germans don't know how to have fun, apart from Oktoberfest they have nothing else, never was a thought more wrong.
Day 15 Apr 2008
Departure 5/04/2008 at 8:00, arrival around 14:00 in Munich; a small mishap, we entered the city running on empty with an incredible queue, we had to get out of Munich to look for a petrol station, the first local we asked for information: "where is fuel diesel?" Answer: "what? You're Italian, so let's speak Italian, the petrol station is…" (southern Italian, oops, from the south). Back in Munich in search of the Hotel Modern: a one-star hotel in the city centre, run by a Vietnamese family with Ecuadorian, Italian, and German staff. Found a very cheap hotel, an old building with a poor breakfast, a small room, and a lift that you couldn't tell whether it reached the ground floor; the only merit of the hotel was its location above a cabaret nightclub, National, and on the same street three other nightclubs as competition.
After spending the afternoon settling into the room, we go out for the evening and try to go to the HB pub. The place was packed, with bouncers who wouldn't let us in. Nearby we find an alternative pub, Augustiner, with a blonde waitress who was really hot in traditional Bavarian dress, who, besides serving us the usual litres of beer, advised us for the night to go to Ostbahnhof, and we obeyed. At Ostbahnhof we find ourselves in front of a kind of entertainment city, lots of gigantic stalls with pubs, clubs for everyone from the trendy to the goths, and all the places are full of these stunning German girls. We tried with some of them, but the tiredness of the journey, the hour (no longer used to staying out until 5), or too much alcohol weighed on our performance, but there was a lot of hot stuff; Munich's fortune is the metro, a wonderful thing for drinkers.
We went back to the magic hotel and the day was over.

Day 26 Apr 2008
Woke up around midday, breakfast in the only decent place to have it: the international railway station. Sunday, a quiet classic tour of the city with the classic look of a screeching little monkey at all the girls. Visit to the cathedral and the arch where Hitler spoke. Evening: at last we got into the HB: a big typical Oktoberfest-style barn, orchestra, folk songs, and waiters in Bavarian dress. We sit at a big table with a group of Bayer fans. We drink the classic litre of beer, and by the second beer we were all friends already. Around midnight we leave the place to go back to the hotel, we go through the wrong entrance door and end up at the Cabaret National (failed, you only see their tits, but the nightclubs are the only things open at night).

Day 37 Apr 2008
The usual wake-up and breakfast at the station. Visit to the Olympic centre, view of the BMW tower, climb of a mountain near the Olympic area, and then a visit to the Allianz Arena, the Bayer stadium. Evening: we go to drink and eat at the Augustiner just to see the blonde waitress. We invite two students (from Abruzzo) to have a drink, we buy drinks, chat a bit, exchange emails, but dead end, we leave the place with more desire than before. We manage to find a pub full of hot German girls, but it closes almost immediately, and on the way back to the hotel we stop at the Cabaret National for the last beer of the night.

Day 48 Apr 2008
Departure day
After the usual breakfast, before leaving, we went to the University of Munich to have one last memory of Bavarian soil. W la Figa W l'erasmus W l'università, The buildings are a bit squalid, big colourless barracks without any cheerfulness, but in universities what counts is what's inside. We leave Germany happy. Destination Prague.

Day 58 Apr 2008
If you liked Munich, the continuation of the route is Prague, there are only photos of monuments, but the story is more eventful.
