The Wall

THE WALL!!! Impressive, the Berlin Wall!! I must say I have a wonderful memory of what were once East Berlin and West Berlin... it was truly unique in the world!!! A city split in two by the Iron Curtain and by this blasted wall that cut the city in half! It was tremendously fascinating for its sheer uniqueness... yet walking around you didn't feel safe... you felt like you were in a spy film... Checkpoint Charlie and its stories of daring escapes from one side of the wall to the other... Luckily history moves on and that damned wall fell!!... but with the wall, much of Berlin's charm fell too. Happy travels in Berlin to everyone! Max
