Germany by camper

Sunday 9 September We set off on a Sunday so as not to find lorries on the motorway. In any case, near Florence and Bologna we find quite a bit of traffic from motorists heading into the city. It is 5 p.m. when we arrive at the Vipiteno rest area, which we find large, welcoming and clean. Monday 10 After taking the vignette we enter Austria and continue on the motorway, also paying the toll at Innsbruck. As soon as we leave the motorway to head towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen we are stopped by a road patrol checking the validity of our vignette. We arrive in the city; it is early; we have a quick look around and also go to see the rest area at the cable car, but we prefer to continue on to Oberammergau, where we admire the colourful houses of the town. We set off again and arrive in the square in front of the cathedral of Andechs.
