The story

The site is very beautiful, a little north of Nîmes, near Avignon; it's strange to find so much Roman-era wonder, perhaps just for the pleasure of the local patrician and his pleasant bathing, but perhaps of importance for the whole civitas, for the water to be stored for many....it's worth paying a proper visit.
