The story

And yes, Grenoble really is just a step away from Italy! When we left it to head for Cesana Torinese it took us very little time (less than two hours), even though we drove the Montgenèvre road, which is decidedly demanding! It's a city suspended between the river and the Alps that tower over and protect it, full of majestic buildings, crossed by trams and with big squares and streets. The Italian quarter is very nice too. As a mountain city the climate isn't the best, cool in the evening and warmer in the morning in summer, but the splendid view you enjoy makes a visit almost compulsory...
