The story

The Mediterranean island had long been one of the destinations I dreamed of for a bicycle raid. However, you certainly can't say this trip was planned, since the destination and the subsequent choice of route were made in an afternoon. The following day I prepared the bike and the panniers and on the morning of the third day I set off to discover this region so often mentioned by lovers of "bike touring". This time solo!

The season is not the most recommended for a tour of the Mediterranean coasts and yet the deep silences, the almost complete absence of traffic and the anyway mild temperature allowed me to get to know a land that is harsh but gentle, nervous but relaxing, detached but engaging. From the deserted roads of Cap Corse, to the jagged cliffs of the Calanches, to the endless climbs of the interior, to the busy and traffic-clogged east coast, up to the town of Bastia with its romantic old port, Corsica gave me a thousand landscapes and, like all the places I have visited, will leave an indelible memory in my heart and mind.
