The story

24. 07. 2001 Copenhagen (DENMARK) In the Danish capital we get more bad news. To carry on to Stockholm we need another expensive reservation. Unless... Unless we go to Malmö, in Sweden. There the rules are different and the reservation isn't compulsory. No sooner said than done, we take the first train to Sweden and in twenty minutes we're there, crossing the longest bridge in Europe. How beautiful! Malmö is small but very pretty, and then what women! It's well known that Swedish women are stunning... After a short wander round the city and buying the ticket for Stockholm, we go back to Copenhagen. What a city! Full of people, of life, of big streets reserved for pedestrians only, lots of street artists, and then the Danish women.

I stand corrected: Scandinavian women are stunning! We decide to reach the symbol of Andersen's city: the famous "Little Mermaid"! What exhaustion! About three kilometres on foot and with our very heavy backpacks on our shoulders! What a bad idea not to leave them at the station! Our shoulders hurt so much that, once we reached our destination, we literally collapsed to the ground! On the way we also "picked up" a twenty-year-old South Korean: Kim, who stayed with us all day! I was thinking how different I am from the last interrail, much less worried, more carefree and cheerful.

Maybe because I trust Pedro a lot, maybe because the places we're visiting aren't full of gypsies buzzing around you to rob you, maybe because the people are different or because the trains aren't divided into separate compartments but made up of big single carriages, making the job harder for the various petty thieves. To sum up, unlike the other interrails, I'm not taking all the problems on my shoulders, not just my own but also my friends'!
