The story

Dear visitors,

Last summer I visited Austria.

I set off from Mira, an old town on the Riviera del Brenta near Venice, where my travel companions live.

I set off on 16.08.2005.

I remember that day the barometer read only 14 degrees and it was raining.

A typical day of a summer that was certainly not generous.

During this trip of mine I naturally visited Vienna, a wonderful city and, as I have been able to see on this site too, a destination for many tourists.

A city that is undoubtedly stupendous and imposing.

However, I really must tell you that my heart was stolen by the enchanting Graz.

Here the synergy between ancient and modern structures catapults the visitor from a historic and magical atmosphere into a futuristic dimension.

Graz is the capital of Styria and is the second largest Austrian city.

Together with the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Wall of China and the Acropolis of Athens, since 1997 its historic centre has been part of the world cultural heritage.

A title designated by UNESCO.

To conclude, if you happen to be passing through Austria, don't give up visiting it.
