DEPARTURE FROM MALPENSA AIRPORT WITH BLUE PANORAMA, FAST CHECK-IN TOO BECAUSE THE QUEUE FOR FORMALITIES AT THE BUSINESS AREA DESK WAS SHORT (it was well worth it for a 10-hour flight, in fact the flight, although the headphones and the video on our side weren't working, passed peacefully and quickly ). A smooth landing, fairly quick formalities and transfer to the place where we'd stay for the holiday week. On arrival everything well organised and, after taking us to our accommodation, they were waiting for us for the evening entertainment which, given the atmosphere, you can't escape even if you're tired.. The following days fly by smoothly and quickly, you don't even notice, between sea, beach, games, dancing and excursions.
The beach is a very long stretch of fine sand that's a pleasure to walk on; if you don't go into the water on the side where there are rocks underneath, you don't need special rubber shoes because there's a beautiful stretch of sand even in the sea. However, you have to be quite an early riser to snap up your sun lounger, otherwise you have to settle, so to speak, for a place in the 2nd row where the entertainment is more subdued, maybe you even prefer it. If you feel like walking you can follow the beach as far as you like, or take the inland paths under cool, very tall palm trees. If you've chosen all inclusive, you could spend day and night eating and drinking, the only drawback being that it might "get" you a bit of a belly, though not necessarily, it depends from person to person.
There are excursions for all tastes, from the calmest like a visit to the Capital, to the more adventurous like the one with the jeeps, or descents down rivers. Or the tour with the dominibus, a picturesque little van all colourful with manual air conditioning (there are no windows), which ranges among the fields of sugar cane cutters, the poor children asking for food, mostly from Creole families, to whom gifts are given like little coins, coloured pencils, or other things brought by the companions. Another place visited is the local farming families with an illustration of cigar making.
And then swimming, water and sun, a lot of sun, take the highest sun protection you can otherwise you might become like my travel companion who didn't take the advice she was given, and became "boiled" (as a local girl told her) I don't want to leave out the many colourful fish that you can find and photograph at the water's surface, moving slightly to where the rocks are, with the necessary rubber shoes, even with a disposable underwater camera you can take beautiful photos, I'd stocked up in Milan, in short an unforgettable holiday, for a milestone in my life to remember "the half century", a beautiful birthday gift from my husband, who didn't come with me (for fear of the too many hours of flight) but in the company of another equally special person, my daughter-in-law. A truly beautiful experience that will stay forever in my heart, a little wandering one
