The story

if you want to know more and see the photos visit:

09.10.2010 Victoria Falls (ZIMBABWE)

The exit stamp from Zambia appears on my passport… We pass the barrier right where a bridge begins!

"Excuse me, for Zimbabwe? Straight ahead?" – I ask a boy with a big suitcase on his head! "Yes, my brother!"

Once the bridge is over, a nice border policeman sings the praises of his Zimbabwe! The cordiality and cheerfulness of the people put us in a good mood!

A very colourful flag waves on a big billboard that reads: "Welcome to Zimbabwe"

We are thirsty and we start seeing mirages of coca cola everywhere!

We dive into the first place we find and knock back two cans each!

The centre of Victoria Falls is a bit disappointing! Only little shops selling souvenirs and lots of vans carrying white tourists…

As I walked I thought that that place, if it were not for the falls, would have been just another village of huts forgotten by God!

The Victoria Falls from the Zimbabwe side are much more characteristic than the other side although they cannot be compared to those of Iguazù in Argentina!

It is always a great emotion to admire the force and power of nature in all its facets!

We sat down on a rock and we literally abandoned ourselves to watching this infinite flow of water that, coming from who knows where, after having crossed and seen who knows what, ended its run with this enormous leap into the void!
