We have just returned from a lovely relaxing holiday in Zanzibar. We left from Milan Malpensa with Eurofly. Travelling at night, we arrived in the morning, where minibuses took us to our Veraclub village. Accommodation in bungalows by the sea. Beautiful sea with clear, very warm water, with low tide in the morning and high tide in the afternoon. We did 2 excursions, the first to Stone Town and the second to the island of the slave prisons. On this island life is like ours was 60 years ago. Many people on foot or by bicycle and others on trucks packed like sardines. The houses all have corrugated iron roofs. Many homes have no electricity. In the 1800s there was the slave trade, and it left from right here. Our village was very nice and the food was good, with plenty of fish and good entertainment.
It was a lovely holiday, I hope to return again and bring more toys to the children far less fortunate than ours.
