If we made this trip, we have to thank my wife's aunt and uncle, who hosted us for a whole month with board and lodging and various outings to see the wonders of this magnificent country. First trip outside Italy and first flight with a DC10 Iberia, departure from Milan Malpensa, plane change in Madrid, then Kinshasa in Congo and finally Johannesburg. As I was saying, a wonderful country, but not for Black people, since apartheid was in force, a very sad thing for us who live in a free country. Pretoria is a modern city, the capital of the state; Johannesburg is immense, full of skyscrapers, very populous, although in the centre it was all offices and in the evening the streets were deserted. But the most beautiful for me is Cape Town on the ocean shore, with beautiful streets of colonial buildings; you breathed a different air, also in how Black people were treated.
We also went to Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Kruger Park for a photographic safari. Thanks to those who made all this possible. Bye and good travels to whoever sets off.
