Dreaming Seychelles

You set off with only the idea of a DREAM... as this is one of those enchanted and all-too-publicised places. The reality you discover on arrival "borders on" that idea of a dream with open eyes: Praslin and above all La Digue astonish even experienced travellers like us, but not all that glitters is gold. It happens, in fact, on Praslin, and on the 1st day too, that you walk barefoot along Grand Anse and come across trickles of the classic sewage outflows that break the dream created by landing among beautiful sea and lush palms. Just as it happens that you conceive the concept of paradise swimming in the waters of Anse Source d'Argent or climbing its famous granites.

We recommend the "do-it-yourself" trip, undoubtedly exciting and fully experienced: we booked everything online, flight + stay, without paying anything in advance for the stay, which took place in: on Praslin at Beach Villa, on La Digue at Pension Michel, on Mahé at a mid-priced hotel in Beau Vallon for the last 2 nights. For 12 days of holiday we spent about 1800 euros per person including extras. Not to be missed: all of La Digue (Anse Source d'Argent, Grand and Petit Anse, night bike rides without lights; Anse Lazio and Vallée de Mai on Praslin; excursions to the nearby islands (e.g. Curieuse, Cocò, Cousine).
