Team building in Marrakech

Well yes.....to build team spirit among the various travel agents, Voyageurs du Monde decided to hold a "work meeting" in Marrakech, all obviously paid for...........tough doing this job!!!!!

So the Marseille team is ready: me the Italian, Ceci the Brazilian, Luis the Guatemalan, Audrey from Aix en Provence, Sophie and Astrid respectively the boss and deputy boss of the agency, and then Nadine, a Frenchwoman transplanted to Thailand for at least twenty years......in short, we are a nice mix of races!!!!

Working until 18.00 at the agency (at the vieux port) in Marseille and then off at a run towards Marignane (Marseille airport); a Royal Air Maroc flight via Casablanca and here we are, arriving in Marrakech around midnight!

It is really nice to be with work colleagues in a place so different from the office......a good feeling immediately develops among us.....first night at the Riad Aladdin (owned by VDM) right in the centre of the medina, nice but nothing to write home about; second day........!!!!OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!! excursion into the palm grove of Marrakech by QUAD...the coolest thing ever!!!!!!! I really recommend everyone try this experience......amazing!!!

Second and third nights at the Villa Nomade, the most beautiful riad in all of Marrakech (again owned by VDM), truly something out of this world for the beauty and comfort of the rooms.

A collective bender on the terrace of the Villa Nomade, complete with complaints from the guests who can't sleep......hihihi..and some of them are my clients........but I am absolutely incognito!!!!

The team spirit worked really well; in fact now we feel more like friends than colleagues!!!

What can I say......in a week I'm off again to look at hotels in Andalusia........TOUGH IS THE LIFE OF US TRAVEL AGENTS!!!!!!
