The story

Two weeks after my return to Italy from Egypt I still feel a great nostalgia for that country, so warm and welcoming. We left, my boyfriend and I, on 31/7 from Verona bound for Hurghada... a last minute due to the cancellation of a trip to Sharm with Alpitour. This time we travel with Inviaggi, Windjet flight... all ok, leaving aside a bit the plane which offers neither TV nor radio and so the 4 hours of flight were slightly boring. But fortunately, and that's what matters, we arrived at our destination without problems! They accompany us to our village... CORAL BEACH... let me start by saying that this village is ENORMOUS, not in terms of the number of rooms but in terms of spaces... it would comfortably hold 10,000 people... having so much unused land/beach...

300 bungalows of which only about 150 are occupied due to the renovation of the restaurant and so they set up a temporary one on the beach near the à la carte restaurant with lower capacity and for this reason they had to reduce the capacity of the village. The rooms are decidedly enormous... two double beds, a sofa with a small table, a unit with a mini-bar, TV, mirror, wardrobe, bathroom. Excellent cleaning and also the service in general. International cuisine... obviously you have to adapt, in Egypt everything is cooked with onion, garlic, peppers... so the taste comes through in quite a few dishes... anyway on the whole you ate without problems. Beach, 1 km... excellent and very spacious. Sea... two bays where you can swim easily, sandy bottom, crystal-clear sea. A pier and therefore a coral reef. As a coral reef, it certainly won't be the best...

but you can be content given that the number of fish I saw in front of the village I also saw while snorkelling at Giftun island. Entertainment... 5 people, of whom only 2 speak Italian, very nice and very helpful... during the day the usual activities, from aqua-gym to muscle wake-up, various tournaments, aperitif game, village anthem. In the evening cabaret, Egyptian show, belly dance... Very nice disco... though it was us who livened it up... very few people take part in the various village activities! Various shops in the shopping centre, amphitheatre, various bars, diving centre. An evening in the centre of Hurghada... among a thousand shops, perfumes and colours... haggling to buy something... I really like it... We did two excursions, both booked with the local Egyptians. Bike safari with a visit to a Bedouin village and sunset in the desert. To be done and enjoyed...

A day by boat to Giftun island... wonderful!!! What else to add.... the sunset seen on the beach at 19.30 is worth it... picture-postcard! What else to add... that a week flies by and you reach the end without even realising... Absolute sadness at the moment of goodbyes... and a see-you-next-year, Red Sea for ever in my heart!
