The story

After a whole year of work, the well-earned holiday arrived, and this year we chose the Red Sea as our destination. Hurghada area, Makadi Bay, not the usual Sharm... 27/7 My boyfriend and I left from Verona on a Neos Air plane... a good 4 hours of flight, not at all boring, with films, dinner on board, music and a few documentaries, we landed at Hurghada airport... we stepped off and immediately a scorching hairdryer-like air greeted us! Having heard from many people that on the Red Sea in July or August you die of the heat, I can confirm the opposite, saying that yes, it's hot, but it's a dry heat, not at all unpleasant and always breezy. We're transferred to our resort, the legendary FORT ARABESQUE, no comment on the coach driver, headlights off even.... Anyway, all fine, we reach the hotel where we're welcomed with an aperitif and then straight to our rooms....

what can I say?! Wonderful, a truly lovely and spacious room, we had two beds, one double and one a queen and a half, a spacious bathroom and a little terrace with a small table and two wicker armchairs. We go straight out to have a look around the rest of the resort and above all to go to the beach and see the sea, even though by now it was 11.30 pm and you could hardly see a thing... The following days were all about total fun... little relaxation, in fact we were always active... we got up early to spend whole days at the beach.... between the entertainment, so sports, games and dance classes, and admiring the splendid corals and fish that sea offers us while snorkelling! As for the resort, what can I say.... no downside, perfect food, I didn't expect pasta cooked like in Italy, delicious pastries in the morning, not to mention the rest of the desserts.

Excellent cleanliness, they cleaned the room several times a day and the outdoor areas were clean too. Courtesy and kindness could be found in every single person... The beach, one of the most perfect sides... sun loungers spaced apart from one another, a very long beach, a wonderful sea.... no pier, so easy access, sandy seabed, and just 20 metres from the beach there were mushroom-shaped coral formations where you could admire loads of fish. Warm, very calm, flat sea.... We visited the town of Hurghada.... and what can I say.... nothing special, but for going shopping it's very calm and ideal. Sadly a week flew by and there we were on 3 August having to pack our bags again and go back to ordinary life.... I hope next year I can enjoy another fabulous holiday like this one!
