On 29 March my friend and I, after 4 "uncomfortable" hours of flight aboard a Eurofly Airbus 320, land at Marsa Alam. At the airport Christian, one of the team members, is waiting for us; we board a bus and half an hour later we are finally at the resort!!! We are welcomed by the rest of the team and by the notes of the Veraclub jingle that will accompany us all week. The impression is excellent, and it won't just be an impression, because the holiday will be fantastic in every respect. The resort is very nice; the room blocks are arranged in a horseshoe so that they surround everything else, the pools, the little souvenir shops, the wellness centre, the hairdresser, the amphitheatre, the beach, making it feel compact and easy to get around. The food, in my view, is good; bear in mind that we are in Egypt!!!! There is plenty of variety at breakfast as well as at lunch and dinner.
Cleanliness, both in the rooms and in the common areas, is good; the green spaces and the many hedges lining the paths are very well cared for. Access to the sea is direct; swimming is a little difficult, partly because of the tides, but walking along the seafront you can find spots that are easier to bathe in. For snorkelling enthusiasts, since there is no pier leading to the coral reef, I think they'll have to rely on the excursions organised by the Verasub diving centre located inside the resort.
The resort is also ideal for families with children, as it has a lovely mini club; it is a little less suited to those who want a holiday centred on nightlife, because outside the resorts there is only desert!!!!! The only drawback for those who are not fans of kite surfing and windsurfing is the wind, which can sometimes be annoying, especially if it's like the one that greeted us on the day we arrived: the palms were bent almost 90 degrees.....but don't be alarmed, it only lasted two days and....it isn't always that strong....
The highlight of the holiday was the Veraclub entertainment team led by Marco D'Alessio who, with his crew Matteo, Mirko, Alan, Christian, Marina, Cristina and Camilla, kept us entertained with dances, games and sports activities, but above all with the great emotions they gave us every evening with their wonderful shows!!! Thank you guys, I will always carry a beautiful memory of all of you!!!!
