The story

Calimera hotel village HABIBA BEACH RESORT by EDEN VIAGGI

A week of relaxation. The village is welcoming and refined, set on a small hill overlooking a very long beach of coral sand and a sea with a thousand shades of colour, all surrounded by tall palms.

The lodgings are built in the Nubian style, the traditional style of the area, and are harmoniously set into the environment, surrounded by wonderful, well-kept gardens.

Excellent food.

Outside the village the surrounding landscape is dominated by the desert, which creates a natural and beautiful backdrop, especially at sunset. Marsa Alam is a small village that lives mainly on tourism and fishing. The village is wonderful, but our main attraction is the sea, which at first sight, with that crystal-clear water, makes us dream, but the breathtaking beauties are below. The limpid waters are a frame for seabeds with a multitude of colours and varieties of coral that only the Red Sea can give us, accompanied by a rainbow of fish. This is our relaxation, being inside this fantastic natural aquarium.

So as not to turn into fish ourselves, we decide to go for a trip to EL QUSEIR. A historic centre characterised by splendid ancient towers of the 1200s fort overlooking the port where pilgrims bound for Mecca come ashore. Streets full of little shops whose colourful souvenirs and spices fill the air with strong aromas. The very colourful fruit market.

Another day we decide to go to the Hamata Atolls. We set off early in the morning and continue south; along the way we meet Bedouin villages and then reach the port where we'll embark to get to the atolls. The scenery changes completely: the 3 atolls with their beach of the whitest sand and a fantastic coral reef, another place entirely, it feels as though you're on Caribbean islands.

The week flies by quickly. The memory of this place a stone's throw from Italy remains and, as the Eden Viaggi slogan says, the emotions of a holiday and of a place are never forgotten
