Relaxing in the Snow

A short holiday in the snow. Even though it was brief, it gave us a good recharge, and the places we visited, immersed in the whiteness of fresh snow, are simple and welcoming, still holding the atmosphere of the Christmas just past. Festive decorations, snow-covered fir trees laden with sparkling lights, and still the markets where the scent of mulled wine and strudel lets you taste the flavours and magic of the mountains. Little villages with typical houses and that unmistakable style that only the Tyrol can offer, with the charm of a winter just begun.

We stayed at the LAMM hotel in Vipiteno. A family-run place, very good and courteous, the rooms spacious, comfortable, warm and clean. Excellent breakfast and the rest of the meals all strictly made by them, with wonderful desserts. It has a private, covered car park, great for full relaxation.
