A sensational tour just a few hours' flight away, a civilisation whose roots lie in an almost "MAGICAL" people, a fantastic experience to recommend to all who love travelling. As soon as we arrived in Cairo we had a private transfer that took us to the Grand Hayat hotel, a fantastic and extra-luxury hotel that I highly recommend, also because it is very clean and the food is really very good... the first evening we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe right next to the hotel and then off to bed... we knew a hard day awaited us... early wake-up and off to the pyramids, which we explored inside, a truly evocative experience...
we also managed to see the pyramid of Cheops, which only allows 200 people a day, 100 in the morning and 100 in the afternoon, and getting tickets was really an arduous task; in fact we waited about an hour under the scorching sun, but I certainly can't say it wasn't worth it... In the remaining days we returned several times to the pyramids, they have a particular charm that almost bewitches you... we then visited the citadel, Memphis and Saqqara (I apologise in advance if the spelling of the names turns out to be wrong), then we saw the Cairo museum, but the most evocative thing was a boat we took on the banks of the Nile, not the usual tourist boat, no, we took one of the ones that Egyptians use to spend their evenings... we were the only tourists on board... it was fantastic!!! This land is truly evocative... I recommend it to everyone...
