Arrival in La Paz at 3660 m of altitude, visit to the capital and the surrounding areas, transfer by bus to Sucre, the white city, trip to the Cordillera de los Frailes, with a stop at Potolo, visit to the Sunday market of Tarabuco, then a move by bus to Potosi (4000 m) to see the Cerro Rico, then a transfer to Tupiza (to the south), a horseback trip to the Canon del Duende, a tour of the area around the town of Tupiza with a visit to the Canon del Inca, the Devil's Gate and the village of Quebrada Seca.
Departure from Tupiza for the Salar tour by jeep accompanied by a local guide and cook who take us to discover the altiplano and the lagoons, always at altitude (between 4000 and 5000 m), crossing the Dali Desert, stopping at the Hedionda, Kollpa, Laguna Colorada and Laguna Verde lagoons with a view of the Licancabur volcano, spending the night at San Antonio de Lipez (1st night), at Huayllajara (2nd night) and at the hotel de Sal of Atullcha. Visit at dawn to the Salar de Uyuni, the high point of our journey in Bolivia, a breakfast stop at Isla Incahuasi (Isla de Pescado), arrival in Uyuni and then the return to La Paz. The itinerary was planned with the Lonely Planet guide, booking return flights and the first hotel in La Paz; transfers were made using local public transport, while the Altiplano tour by off-road vehicle was bought locally in Tupiza with "Tupiza Tour".
