The story

I am Cosimo Amico, born in Italy at Santa Maria di Leuca in the province of Lecce, where I lived the first 6 months of my life; my parents had to emigrate for work. I have always loved travelling and have come to know half the world — Asia, Africa, North and South America — everywhere I had to work to survive. I have been in Venezuela for 20 years; my idea was to stay a few years. When I arrived I had little money; I had the luck to find work as a tour guide, and I worked for about 7 years organising circuits all over Venezuela, from the Andes to the Amazon, in unexplored places. In 1993 I met my wife Beatriz; in 1995 we had our first daughter, and this pushed me to try another adventure: creating, in 1995 together with my wife, Energy Tour, putting to use all the experience accumulated over these years.

We would be glad to put all our experience at your disposal to give you unforgettable moments. We have specialised guides with years of experience and reliable transport: Toyota 4x4s of 2006 and 2007, a Ford Expedition of 2008, a Ford Explorer of 2004. I have noticed that some are using photos of our company's vehicles for their web pages. We have recently opened a guesthouse in Ciudad Bolívar; our headquarters are in Ciudad Bolívar, the historic capital of Venezuela, and from here all the adventure tours depart — Canaima, La Gran Sabana, the Orinoco Delta, the Amazon, the Caura river etc. We started working with the internet 12 years ago, when it was still little known; a couple of tourists who travelled with us dedicated a web page to us and we will always be grateful to them, because from there people in Italy began to know our company. Here is our new site
