A Brazilian journey

Day 17 Feb 2001

ole'brasil

Salvador de Bahia, a wonderful place located in the northeast, washed by the Atlantic Ocean, with an excellent climate thanks to the winds driven in from the ocean. Salvador tells an old story: in the 1500s, it was in turn the naval unloading point of African slavery, being the point that came closest to Africa. Even today you can visit the cells where black slaves were landed while awaiting their destination for slavery. A succession of monuments and houses painted in pastel colors, typically Brazilian. You can have dinner and lunch in comfortable and welcoming typical places, enjoying excellent Brazilian or European cuisine. The beaches are fully equipped, you lack nothing; you can enjoy the reality of nature, a clear crystalline sea, very fine golden sand, the little kiosks that offer you fruit drinks of all kinds, you can enjoy a good massage, etc. bathe in a clean and fresh sea.

OK, tomorrow everything about Rio de Janeiro, greetings from Giamolese.. bye!
