Australia, Queensland with Donato The Virgin Blue flight lands in Brisbane coming from the Vanuatu islands after about 4 hours; here at customs they check that we are not importing seeds of any kind — even necklaces and bracelets made with empty seeds are not allowed. Then we get through and, after renting the car, we flee the city toward the interior of Queensland, for a place to stay that we don't find; it is almost midnight and the only available hotel costs too much. We already have the idea of sleeping in the car in the back pocket, but in the end, in a pub, we find a room at an acceptable price; the hotel is old and empty, all for us basically. The next morning we drive through the woods heading north toward Mackay, a shame that we leave the green and nature behind; I don't like Mackay, not because it is an ugly city, but because it is a city.
We sleep at the youth hostel, again the only reasonably priced accommodation. The next morning we take the plane to Brisbane and then connect with Emirates for Dubai and then Italy. bye
