The story

At last AUSTRALIA... unforgettable places, people and emotions. After a long plane journey, we finally arrive in Sydney, where we stop for a few days to admire this fantastic city in every aspect. The journey begins with a long drive by car towards ADELAIDE, with several stops along the way: Three Sisters NP - CANBERRA - MELBOURNE, where we recommend a visit to PHILLIP ISLAND in honour of Valentino Rossi and to admire the parade of the Penguins returning to their burrows after a day's fishing in the ocean; wrap up well because the wait can be long and chilly but it is truly worth it. The road from MELBOURNE to ADELAIDE is the most beautiful, with fantastic scenery; you travel along the famous GREAT OCEAN ROAD, from where you can see the "TWELVE APOSTLES", and to admire them even better we take a helicopter ride, a true spectacle of nature.

Once in ADELAIDE we fly into the heart of Australia, to ALICE SPRINGS and then to ULURU NP, where we stop for a few days to do several excursions and to breathe and live the Australian outback. We continue north to DARWIN, from where we visit KAKADU NP, completely different landscapes and nature, with rivers in flood, forests and many animals. The last flight transfer is to CAIRNS, from where we drive on to BRISBANE. Along the way we stop in TOWNSVILLE, where we take the boat to admire the Great Barrier Reef up close and swim with sea turtles and fish of every kind seen only in documentaries. Another stop we recommend is FRASER ISLAND, an island where time seems to have stopped; the only roads are the long beaches and strips of sand in the middle of the forest, only for 4x4s. We only stayed a day, but if you can and organise in time, a few more days are better.

The last stops are BRISBANE AND SURFERS PARADISE, where we spend the final days of a fantastic and unforgettable holiday "like all of them", where we met kind and friendly people always ready to help in any situation, and above all we were able to admire up close kangaroos, koalas and many other animals that you can only see roaming free here. Some useful information for travelling better is to visit the various information offices you can find almost everywhere; they provide a wealth of information on parks, hotels and everything you might need for a trouble-free trip. I hope I have stimulated your desire to visit this wonderful country. Bye Matteo and Rossella.
