We set off with the idea of wanting to explore this immense island (or small continent) properly. That's why we decided to dedicate the whole month to doing only its east and south-east part, hoping to come back at least twice more to do the remaining part. Arriving in Sydney after a very comfortable but very long flight (Zurich-Kuala Lumpur-Sydney), we rested at once for a few days, dedicating them to Sydney. Then, with a hire car, we did the whole coast down to Melbourne, passing through Wollongong, Eden and Phillip Island (about 1,400 km). Two days of rest in Melbourne and then off with an internal flight to Cairns, where after a few days at the seaside, from there we set off south down to Brisbane. Internal flight Brisbane-Sydney. A few more days of relaxation in Sydney and back home.
