A trip to Western Australia isn't a simple holiday: it's a true adventure! This is the wildest, most unspoiled state of the entire Australian continent My guide and travel diary on Western Australia:

Day 116 Jun 2008

Departure to discover Western Australia. First stop at Caversham Wildlife park, a nature reserve where encounters with marsupials are guaranteed, you can stroke them and feed them. Stop at Yanchep NP to observe koalas in their natural state and a detour to Lancelin, where you can walk on tall, very white dunes that look like snow. In the afternoon, arrival at Cervantes where you can taste the best and cheapest lobster in Australia.

Day 217 Jun 2008

Visit to the Pinnacles desert, a miracle of nature, where numerous vertical rocky monoliths emerge from a suggestive yellow desert, which are thought to be the remains of an ancient forest. The backdrop is dominated on one side by tall, very white dunes, on the other by the sea. Tall spires, with bizarre shapes, rise from the sandy bottom creating a suggestive landscape and, for some, even mystical. In the afternoon, continuation toward Kalbarri NP passing by the suggestive lake with pink waters.

Day 318 Jun 2008

Visit to the national park, which stretches from the sea with rocky and panoramic coasts, and inland with a deep canyon featuring several panoramic points, including Nature's Window, where a natural arch creates a truly breathtaking viewpoint. Scenarios of extraordinary beauty will frame the visit to the park. In the afternoon, departure for Monkey Mia, located in the heart of Shark Bay.

Day 419 Jun 2008

Monkey Mia is famous because every day, for decades, groups of wild dolphins have been coming ashore to have fun and swim with tourists. In the morning it all happens under the supervision of the rangers. In the afternoon, relax warming up in the mild sun on the beach, which remains deserted, and usually the dolphins come back near the lagoon; in this way you can admire them and get close to them undisturbed.

Day 520 Jun 2008

Stop at Shelly Beach, a fantastic and very long beach that is unique of its kind as it is completely covered by millions of tiny, very white shells, and at Stomatolite, rock formations in the sea made up of microorganisms that are the oldest living beings on the planet. In the afternoon transfer to Dongarra

Day 621 Jun 2008

Departure for Perth and a short visit to the city centre, starting from Kings Park, the city's green lung with a superb view over the modern skyscrapers of the centre in the background, then the Embarcadero area on the Swan River. In the centre, St. George Terrace is the ideal starting point for a visit to the city; from here, through a maze of arcades, you can head along Hay St. or Murray St. and admire the Anglican Cathedral of St. George, ending up in English Passage and London Court, a characteristic pedestrian and shopping area in British style.
