The story

New York with Stefania The United flight from Milan Malpensa takes about 10 hours to reach Washington; unfortunately, though, before landing the plane started to experience turbulence and half the plane filled their sick bags. That had never happened to me before. My sister used the little bag too; luckily I did not, but I felt out of sorts for at least another 2 hours after landing. Here we were a bit worried about catching our connecting flight to the Big Apple, but luckily it went fine. By taxi we have ourselves taken to the Best Western hotel on 42nd Street; there are 8 of us. It is freezing cold, but in the evening we walk along 5th Avenue, so praised and famous; puffs of steam rise from the manholes, showing just how cold it is. The next day we walk the streets of Manhattan and visit the Empire State Building, from the top of which we see the Twin Towers far off, towering.

The view from above is magnificent; it takes us a quarter of an hour to come down, you have to change lifts 3 times. The minibus takes us towards Kennedy airport and we drive alongside a cemetery for about ten km. I have never seen such a large cemetery. We board the United flight heading for Las Vegas. bye
