The United States with the group We're a little group of 7 people. The outbound journey is a bit tiring: Malpensa, Washington, Denver, Las Vegas (United). We land in the dark, local time, but in our bodies it's 3 in the morning, so straight to bed. As the guide I've prepared a nice itinerary, from Las Vegas all day to Death Valley, which everyone enjoyed a lot. But on this occasion I discovered there are no petrol stations inside it, and that it's better to fill up well before driving through; we reached the first station in the evening with the 3 cars practically dry. On the last long descent I'd even put the car in neutral. Anyway, that evening we had fun among the thousand lights of the casino city: the Mirage with its erupting volcano, the Bellagio with its water fountains, Treasure Island with its battle of sailing ships, and so on.
With the sun up, we set off for the town of Page, next to the state of Utah, in Arizona. Here we visit the 10 little chapels of different religions, in a place with very few inhabitants. I reckon two people per church will do. Then a visit to the big dam that creates Lake Powell, and on the opposite side the Colorado River begins the Grand Canyon. Later, a visit to the magnificent Monument Valley. And here a small mishap befalls us: Vanni locks the car with the keys inside - a mishap that costs us 2 hours, though it still doesn't stop us from seeing the Grand Canyon in the evening. And then we sleep at Williams in a nice 4-star Best Western, a particular hotel with a hot-water pool edged by snow, since it's November. After visiting an old reconstructed Wild West town, we return to the same hotel in Las Vegas. Bye
