The story

Boston is a delightful city. Objectively, you can't say otherwise. What strikes you most when you arrive is that it doesn't feel like being in the USA, it feels like an English city.

The airport, Boston Logan Airport, is on an island and the moment of landing is definitely spectacular. I flew with Lufthansa, departing from Rome, a stopover in Frankfurt and straight on to Boston. Flawless flight.

In Boston I stayed at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel (I paid €75 a night for a single room without breakfast. A rather old hotel whose rooms aren't well kept. The staff aren't very courteous and I must say that if I went back I wouldn't consider it.

It's unthinkable not to take a tour of the Harvard and MIT campuses, just as it's unthinkable not to spend an afternoon strolling along the river, enjoying nature or taking a sailing trip (on Sundays there are loads of boats).

It's a city with lots of young people, and it seems quite safe even at night. I highly recommend a trip to Boston, the tailor-made city.
